But due to RL circumstances being what they are and just being a little burned out in general on the setting, I'm going to be bowing out for the time being.

I guess it's been a long time coming. I really didn't want to do this but I've been noticing that I've really been slipping on tags lately and since I haven't done any tagging all month and I have a strike already I realize I've been just putting off the inevitable.

HELLO EVERYBODY! I am Stripe, I am brand new to this game, and I am bringing you John Egbert from Homestuck.

If you are lucky enough to have never even once fallen into the endless pit of horrors that is Homestuck, John Egbert is the main character. He is a dorky kid who was brought up on practical jokes and cakes and really loves his friends a whole lot. He's exactly the kind of earnest goof that would love a Pokemon adventure, so here he is. If you do know what Homestuck is, his canon point is right after completing all of his Retcon missions from Terezi, so it's going to take him a little while to realize this is not some extra bit of Sburb weirdness.

Homestuck is notorious for its obnoxious font style, so I have an opt out post right here. It's also there if you want to avoid John altogether- no offense taken either way!

WHAT'S UP THE ROUTE LAND.

I'm Jack and I uh. Know.... a lot of you already apparently. BUT FOR THOSE WHO DON'T, HI HOW ARE YOU. I heard your Freelancers were being a little too competent so I brought some idiot here to lighten the mood and ruin everything.

He is Captain (!!) Lavernius Tucker of some ridiculous internet series going on 13 years called Red vs Blue. He's the space marine in the aqua armor that's kind of loud and annoying and perverted and loyal and not as bad a leader as he thinks he is. For those who do keep up with the series, I pulled him from the season 13 finale just before those final few seconds happened because haha what last few seconds that didn't happen ~~until they did~~. Don't believe any lies Carolina told you about him. Whatever she told you, the truth is far worse.

Greetings and salutations, Route-dwellers! It's Ri again, here with another character: the dwarf Varric Tethras from the Dragon Age series!

Varric is in both Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition, but I'm actually going to be taking him from about a year after the end of the main plot of Inquisition, and about two years before the Trespasser DLC.

Varric is a rogue and a storyteller, and he just loves (read: hates) the outdoors, so here he is to have a fun adventure! Hooray!

EDIT: probably should mention, while I'm going to keep the world state as vague as possible (at least unless/until I get castmates who are more directly affected by certain events), there are a few choices I did cement in his app. I can get into the more spoilery ones in the comments if you're interested, but one of them is

My name is Lina, and I'm another newcomer here. I also bring you Karkat Vantas from that one webcomic nobody cares about anymore, AKA Homestuck. To those of you unfamiliar with it, congratulations! You've escaped! I didn't! Fuck my life! Uh, but more importantly, Karkat is a literal troll from a different universe who played a game with eleven of his buddies that wound up creating another universe, this one containing humans. And... okay, it's really convoluted, I'm not even sure why I'm trying to explain it apart from sheer masochism.

Karkat also happens to be incredibly foul-mouthed, loud, and prone to throwing tantrums about pretty much everything, so basically, I'm sorry in advance. You have no idea. So sorry. I am so sorry that I have taken the liberty of shamelessly copying my castmates and creating an opt out post right over here for both his UNIQUE BRAND OF OCULAR ASSAULT and him in general. Seriously, I am so sorry. I promise that he is actually the most dere marshmallow ever. He just really overcompensates.

Uh, in regards to more practical matters, Karkat has also found himself with the shiny new occupation of breeder and a Whismur as his starter because I am terrible. He's also, shall we say, irked about suddenly being human, among other things. He is certain to be expounding on this and other subjects in the near future, once I get over my all-encompassing terror and post his IC intro.

Hello hello, Route! Sunny here with kind of a triple-whammy thing.

First - Introducing some fresh meat, this dorky ol' fart named Nicolas Brown from an action-packed, very grimdark mafia manga called Gangsta. He's a glaring, cranky individual who fights with swords, isn't destined to live for long, and has a soft spot for kids and birds. He won't need his health-stabilizing drug much while in Route, but he sure will be confused about it.

Hello hello hello again, Route!

I'm Drizz, and some of you might remember me from back when I was playing Veronica here around a year ago. And then dropped... well, I'm back! And I'm bringing a new character into the pokemon world. This is Rakka from the anime Haibane Renmei! She's been lovingly described as a ball of angel fluff, and that's not too far from the truth at all.

The general story is that she's an amnesiac who woke up one day in a world encased in giant walls that she knew nothing about. And then she was given a halo and wings painfully grew out of her back. But it's okay because it's cute slice of life, and life is ~~generally~~ good to her. I heartily recommend the show to everyone that hasn't seen it. Haibane Renmei is a very underrated anime and it's only 13 episodes anyways.

Rakka is going to be immediately post-canon when she arrives, so that means she'll have already dealt with a bunch of stuff that happens in canon. But she also doesn't know much about how a good chunk of the modern world works, and her halo and wings are both going to ~mysteriously~ be missing. So the pokemon world is just going to be chock full of surprises for her.

Hey there, Route! Wolfy here. You know, I've been in this game since maybe its second or third app round. And ever since I dropped Jack last year, I've felt like something was MISSING from my experience. I finally figured out what that is. And that means it's TIME TO BRING IN ANOTHER TIM BURTON CHARACTER!

The man with the hands is here. I'm bringing him from his extended canon which consists of a little known but REALLY cute 10 issue comic so he has a LITTLE more experience with the modern world than he did in the film. He'll be missing his new friends but plenty eager to make more and also--now that he's finally got those hands he's been wanting since his creation thanks to Johto--he's gonna pet every single Pokemon.

She's a fourteen year old girl who loves music and will be excited to find out that music is playing in the background no matter where she goes. On top of that, she's really carefree and energetic but might get a bit pushy, especially if she wants to have things go her way. And she's so ready to set on a journey.

WHATS UP BOYS AND GIRLS Aren here!! I already play an adorable Disney princess here, but I'm going to be bringing in someone completely different because that's always fun and exciting! This lovely misanthrope that you poor saps are going to have to deal with today is Asuka Langley Shikinami, from Evangelion 3.0.

Now, for those of you who are canon-familiar with the series but unfamiliar with the Rebuild movies wondering what the deal with her surname change is, let me kinda preface by saying that she's from the new movie series, which play around with the canon and diverge in a really interesting way as they progress, to the point where 3.0 takes place after a 14 year timeskip. (though Asuka still looks 14 because ~~anime nonsense~~ the curse of the Eva) Asuka in particular goes through a number of really interesting changes to her character arc, and she behaves a bit differently from her TV series counterpart! It's a fun experience if you're looking for a fresh spin on a classic!

If you're canonblind, I really recommend giving the series a watch, because its a hell of a ride! Here's what you need to know about Asuka, though: she's a complete mess, for starters. She's abrasive and boisterous, always angry at something in some way, a complete perfectionist who always needs to have her way, and to top it all off she's incredibly antisocial...which is one heck of a combination, really. She's the former Captain of the European Air Force, and the proud pilot of a giant mecha that begrudgingly protects her bright red wasteland of a post-apocalyptic world, so she will not be happy to be here at all? Especially not with a goddamn Happiny, like, wow. Also, don't ask about the eye. Kind of a sore spot.

She's a huge departure from Anna but I expect her CR will be just as fun and I really can't wait to get the ball rolling with all you wonderful people! I can't wait to thread with whoever's down, new and old C: if you want to add me on Plurk please feel free!! You can catch me at

My name is Ashley and I am...technically completely new here, I apped in during the very start of the game many years ago, but I only stayed like a month or two, so I don't think it really counts. Anyway, I'm going to be playing.......Ashley! Yes, same name, you are reading that right. She comes from the horror game Until Dawn and boy oh boy has she had a horrible night! She's exactly the kind of person most average folk would be in a horror movie, and by that I mean panicky, paranoid, and very much wishing she could be wrapped in a blanket instead.

Hi! My name's Pip, and some of you in this game are dirty enablers. Not that I'm pointing fingers... Suffice it to say the cast here drew me in and so now the rest of you are stuck with ~~Punmaster Fresh~~ Yang Xiao Long of RWBY. A quick summary of Yang is that she's a fun-loving, thrill-seeking, butt-kicking kind of gal and will no doubt get into all kinds of scrapes as she adjusts to such a relatively peaceful world. (Seriously, your monsters don't even kill people indiscriminately? WHAT IS THIS.)

She's coming in from the middle of Volume 3, in the precise moment before the entire show goes to hell in a handbasket. I won't say more than that, and she won't either, since that's going to be reserved for catching up with her sister/teammate Ruby, her teammate/friend Weiss, and that weird girl/no slash remark here Penny.

Still, as a courtesy, if you want to avoid any/all spoilers about the show in general just shoot me a message or include it in your tags somewhere and I'll remember that! ~~I will probably make terrible canon update decisions later. Consider this your warning. Wahaha~!~~

Hi my name's Cam and this is my very first time in route, so why not bring a fish that's no longer a fish. This is Undyne from Undertale! She would pretty much be your average shounen hero complete with dramatic speeches and never backing down from a challenge... if shounen heroes were ridiculous blue fish that terrorized humans with spears. She's a bit of a winner.

She's really not going to be happy about the being human thing.
