Hello everyone it’s Dawn, you're friendly neighbor mad women. There's something interesting happening in Goldenrod during the power plot. There will be a different sort of chaos going on.

I’ve been given permission from Sunny but I want to run it by everyone first. In Goldenrod, most people will be getting electric powers (locals and characters that are getting it.). I came up with a crazy idea for side effect of being an electric type human.

Two effects in fact:

Drunk or high like behavior around large amounts of electricity.
The need to release excess energy through regresses activity aka dancing, partying, or raving.

So when one of the largest city just so happens to be filled with electric people, what do you think the outcome will be folks? That’s right Goldenrod is going to turn into a crazy rave zone.

What you might see:
  • People dancing on rooftops.
  • Glowing in the dark.
  • Shooting sparks into the sky.
  • Wearing the weird, cool and colorful clothing.

The radio tower would even be affected so instead of normal pokémon tunes. Character will be hearing funky remixes.

Characters that don’t have electric will probably have to deal with their friends and everyone in the city going seemingly insane. Not to mention how do you get any sleep with the music pumping all the time.

So yeah that’s it.  It's weird but I hopefully fun... /goes to hide in a corner.

Note: I forgot to put this in. orz

The raves start on the second week. July 16.
Characters and locals may start acting a little oddly the day before.
Like picking up brighter sets of clothes to wear or being sort of antsy.

...if you're close to Celadon, anyway, BUT. Okay, some of you guys who've been here a while may remember a proposed Training Center. Well, now that Riku's gotten all of the badges, he's ready to set a plan into motion. For those who haven't heard and didn't see the comment on the plotting post, here's the basic idea:

Riku wants to open up a place where trainers can come in and train without having to worry about grinding against level 5 pidgeys and such. With his huge collection of level 100 Pokémon, he'll be running a business where trainers can come in and battle his team in order to improve their team's skills. There'd be a weekly cost of... probably around 5000 - 7000 P, although monthly and yearly passes will probably be made available over time.

Battles won't be the only feature, though. In addition to going toe-to-toe with some powerful beasts, Riku intends to set up a workout room and obstacle course to heighten skills outside of battle. These probably won't be available immediately, but if he can get some volunteers to help work out a game plan, then it'll definitely happen at some point or another.

Other information below the cut! )

Anyway, this is just a rough outline. If you've got suggestions of features to add, etc, I'd be happy to hear 'em. I know that in the past he's discussed the idea of having lessons, lectures, and other information available in addition to the hands-on opportunities.

Lastly, if there are any characters who would like to help Riku with his business, I would love to know, since this isn't something he'll have an easy time doing on his own. It could be something as simple as helping set up shop, offering Pokémon to use in the center, working at the front desk, ensuring Pokémon get food and proper care, the list goes on!
