speaking of which, here's a quick DW markup tip; [user name=blahblahnamehere] (but with html pointybrackets) gives you a DW journal link, like so: hologramblue. [user name=blahblanamehere site=plurk.com] gives you a plurk link, like so!: hologramblue. Apparently this works with other sites too like idk Facebook or something but you'll only ever need to use it for Plurk.

...HERE LET ME TOSS YOU SOME MORE MARKUP THEN this shit's really useful

[cut] is our Read More equivalent (the default text is even "Read More..."), except you can have multiple in a post and...it basically just snips out part of the post body if it's being viewed from a journal or reading list. Super super useful for spoilers, large images, large blocks of introspection, or other stuff that would clutter up a reading page somehow. It's used like this:

blah blah stuff happening post blah

[cut]here there be spoilers[/cut]

blah blah blah

EVEN MORE USEFUL is that you can customize the cut link text with [cut text="texthere"], so instead of saying "Read More..." it's a hint at the content or a song lyric or something. Usually used like this:

blah blah stuff happening post blah

[cut text="spoilers for the game with the pink blood"]here there be spoilers[/cut]

blah blah blah

[cut text="private to dumbface"]private stuff to a cast or to certain people or something[/cut]
