+1 Determinator Dad

Hello, everyone! This is Inkwell -- you may remember me as Route's very short-lived Nageki. Sadly, I've had to drop him due to not really being as sure of his voice as I thought I was and in general having a hard time tagging with him. The good news is, I am not leaving you! Instead I'm joining your illustrious Heavy Rain cast with Ethan Mars, the protagonist of the game (or at least, the one you play the most as).

Ethan is a determinator to the extreme. Heavy Rain is a story where your choices influence events, and to cut a long story short I've taken him from the iteration of that story where he goes through the most awful stuff possible, all for the sake of his son (Shaun, who's also here in game!). I've also taken him from right before the finale, because I am a cruel, cruel person.

He's a trainer, and his starter will be a Kangaskhan (because they're both FIERCE PARENTS, geddit?).

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS more epic dads from thriller/horror/srs bzns games, just what I have been needing in my life!

I'm sure he and Carmen will be crossing paths fairly soon, given that she's got CR with pretty much everyone in the Heavy Rain cast and has been playing surrogate aunt to making friends with Shaun in particular, so.

You have no idea how excited I am for this CR. Carmen Sandiego's Great CHase Through Time was my JAM as a wee Inklet. And Ethan's going to be pathetically thankful that someone has been looking after his babbu. ;u;

Oh, she's a delight to play. I rely on Wikipedia more than is probably healthy, but hey, when your character would know some obscure fact about the midday tea rituals of an obscure southeast-Asian culture, YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO. #edutainment

He's welcome to fourth-wall her, too, if her canon is one that Ethan would recognize — my only request is that you not tell her that she's actually a fictional character from a TV show/educational franchise outright. More general stuff like "holy shit you're Carmen Sandiego", "everyone knows you", etc, etc, is just fine with me. She's used to being famous. c:
