I'm Dal, I play Solf J Kimblee (explosivecombat) and Jean Descole (scientificflair), and somewhere along the line I decided that clearly, having two morons in Team Rocket was not enough. So I am bringing you a third, from the Portal series of video games - the Genetic Lifeform and Disc Operating System, known to most as GLaDOS.
(Fun fact: Though GLaDOS is the official acronym and the most well-known way to address her, she's never mentioned by name once in the games. No, really. Go ahead and try to find an instance where someone actually says her name. I'll wait.)
So! For those who are not acquainted with Portal, GLaDOS is a personality core hardwired into the mainframe of the Aperture Science Enrichment Center, designed to test human specimens and bribe them with sweets, while she generally puts them through huge amounts of hell before trying to kill them. Or. Something like that. It's a bit hard to tell, she kind of went haywire from the start and killed all the scientists in the lab by pumping the place full of poison gas, so we can't exactly ask them, now can we?
But for the most part she'll be reasonably affable, if a bit sarcastic and...generally odd because what the hell is going from "being a glitchy robot" to "being human all of a random sudden"; get on her bad side and there'll be passive-aggressiveness and childish insults, get on her good side and there will be tsun and...more childish insults, and for the love of all things holy don't get in the way of science getting done, as that last part tends to result in things decidedly more severe than childish insults. She's taken from just after the single-player campaign in Portal 2, and she's starting with a Rattata and a TR-issued Koffing because starting out with useless things is always awesome.
Also, I understand that GLaDOS was here before; this is a complete reboot (if you'll pardon the pun) and she won't have any memories of her previous stay in Johto, including any Pokemon or CR she may have had.

I bring with me someone new; meet Rupert Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Stuffy British librarian, secretly very capable, father figure to all the misfit kids. Really into mythology and demonology. Along with our Buffy, he's coming from a very early canon point. We're talking Season Two.

I'm Bella and -- okay, I'm not exactly new (I was here way way way way way back in the day when R29 was just starting up with a Belgium) but I haven't been here in a fairly long time, so I guess I'm new just the same? Anyway, I'm bringing in Luca Milda, the cute, bookwormy protagonist of Tales of Innocence. He's generally a little shy but always hoping to avoid confrontation, loves books, and dreams of being a doctor. He's also an Avatar, which on Naraka means he's a god's soul reborn into human form. No element bending here guys, sorry.
He's also largely hated for being an Avatar. Hell, even fellow Avatars generally hate him.
Anyway, he's a trainer and his starting partner's an Audino. Here's to happy mems in Route, yeah?

Well, yo there, folks. My name is AOB and I'll be bringing you this jerkass, Abyss, of Sound Horizon's Elysion soundtrack. SanHora is a rock opera band that likes including plot in a lot of its Story CDs. And this guy is a key character in Elysion, appearing in every track as a "phantom" that takes young girls (all of whom committed murder for one reason or another) while looking for his daughter, El.
He used to be an assassin and hired thug for noblemen, so hey, he's used to a lot of what Team Rocket does. Possibly including stealing animals. Although never really stealing WITH animals, so hey, he's going to be dicking around with everyone with his Sneasel.

still_prettyHello everyone, I'm Beck and bringing in Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer! She'll be coming in fairly early in her canon, right before Halloween of S2. For those of you who've been living under a rock don't know wtf BtVS is, Buffy is the Slayer, the Chosen One, the girl who's here to kick some vampire-and-other-supernatural-nasties' butts. Shenanigans ensue. Buffy's pretty down to earth and friendly, but she's still a sixteen year old girl who'd rather be at the Bronze than stomping around in the tall grass with furry woodland creatures.
Buffy's starter will be an Eevee, nicknamed Flufferface for now because she is NOT Giles and doesn't have an encyclopedic knowledge of dry mythology stuff to pull interesting (read: boring) names from.

As far as the 4th wall question between Tamers and other series of digimon goes, I usually play it that the digimon tv series in Tamers is NOT Digimon Adventure. ...It's just a completely unrelated series in which the leader wears goggles and has an Agumon for a partner.
He'll be a breeder and his partner is a Togepi. I think we can all look forward to shenanigans with that combination.

And speaking of spoilery things, since DeSu 2 was just released a few weeks ago, please, please let me know if you don't want me to tag you or mention things and whatnot, since he kind of is a walking spoiler. Just say the word, and I'll try to keep things with him quiet about it.

Mar. 18th, 2012 08:54 pmbamfsecretaryThe answer to that is "yes", apparently, since Nanao still had over 220 journals friended when I checked on Tuesday. Which is touching.
IN ANY CASE, hi, my name's Myki, and I play the one and only lady with no screentime in Bleach, Lieutenant Ise Nanao! or Vice Captain... or Fukutaichou... I played her for just over a year here before I had to drop while IRL sorted itself out, but I am now glad to report that all is well and I can come back to amazing and hideous (and sometimes hideously amazing/amazingly hideous) shenanigans!
Nanao will retain her memories of her prior stay in route, and so will be able to answer most of the questions of the newly-arrived and much confused, and to help her she'll have a dorky little Natu by the name of Cassandra! Who is actually a female. And also a psychic-type, since Nanao must always have one of those on hand and it will probably ruin her reintroduction. (And when I say probably, I mean will.)
