Hi, I'm Nocturne. I have never roleplayed on Dreamwidth before, but Route looks like a fun place to start.

So I'm bringing this super cool guy whose name is pretty much shared with the protagonist of the Pokemon anime series...in the dub anyway.

It would seem that there is already a Tales of the Abyss cast here, so you may be familiar with Asch, who looks like your Luke's mirror reflection. He's not very pleasant, especially if you identify yourself as Kimlascan noble with hair of red and a case of amnesia amnesia, but he could be slightly less unpleasant to other people. He may try to take advantage of cases mistaken identity, but he will probably slip up by saying something dumb. Anyway, he's a trainer, and he'll probably start training in order to access other places and maybe go home. Not to mention, he's one of those proud guys who hates to lose, so becoming stronger should help with that whole not losing thing.

I am on at random hours, so you may be best off poking me with a PM if you want to talk...but I will try to remember that MSN/Windows Live exists!

Man, it's gonna be so strange playing Luke, who has basically no canon knowledge whatsoever, against an endgame Asch...JUST WHEN THEY WERE SOMEWHAT STARTING TO GET ALONG, SORT OF...sob.

I would like to work on get their relationship along into 'somewhat-tolerant-if-not-entirely-brotherly' territory, if that's all right with you! Personally, I'd rather Luke be kept mostly in the dark about the specifics of being an 'inferior copy' ifyouknowwhatimean, since I have Big Plans in the wings for him. 8D

Asch is free to nag and annoy him into oblivion, though. Because if Asch weren't flying off the handle 90% of the time, that'd be OOC.

I'm sorry! I hope it's not too weird! Asch is going to be so confused (and probably very pissed), by the way...BUT I really love seeing those two develop some sort of relationship that they refuse to call brotherly when it really is just that. Since Asch is post-duel, he is more capable of this, I think. As for spoilers, I will keep him from blabbing.


Oh, he will nag so much. Do you mind if he mentions that he wants to destroy Van? He'll leave out the whole why because he assumes Luke knows all these things. (or at least, he will for a while)

It's definitely not too weird, don't apologize! Interesting dynamics are a challenge, but challenges make life fun! For us, and for them, hahahaha.

WRT the spoilers thing--he can totally mention Luke 'copying' him and being 'inferior' and stuff, since Luke is from so early game it's highly doubtful he'd believe Asch anyway. (It'll be interesting dealing with a Luke who isn't constantly putting himself down, huh Asch?) I'd just rather him not finding about why Asch calls him names, lol. The rest is fine! o7

I do not mind mentions of Van at all, as long as you don't mind Luke getting all up in Asch's grill like OMG HDU INSULT MASTER VAN HE IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY AND HE CAN DO NO WRONG EVER!!!!!!1111!!11one!!!

I am really looking forward to those dynamics. It will be exciting to see how that progresses.

Ahaha. Yeah, I suspect that it would be difficult for him not to call Luke inferior or other names. Since he was supposed to start recognizing Luke, he has a reason to lay off of the r-word or the tale of his past. I'm actually glad that I took Asch from a later canon point, seeing how he spoiled everything right after Akzeriuth. Some time spent getting that off of his chest the whole recognition thing might make him less likely to drop that particular bomb.


Regarding Van, that reaction is the very reason why I wanted him to bring it up. We'll see how quickly Asch picks up on different timelines, so it might be interesting.

By the way, thank you for discussing where you stand on spoilers. I was a little worried about that, to be honest. Long-haired Luke is a very special person, so I did not want to break him.

(By 'special person' I hope you mean 'special in the head' because that'd be more accurate. And trust me, he's gonna get seriously broken. Just not yet. Muahahahahaha. >8D)

Ah, I am theaethelbob for AIM, now that you mention it. That might have been useful, since AIM is used more often. As for Plurk, I do not have it yet.
