Hi there - Dal again, typecasting myself horribly as that person who plays horrible white-suited people with no sense of tact, taste, or when we should stop killing people!
...it's kind of really specific typecasting, isn't it.
But yes, this is Reaver, from the Fable series; he's a ridiculously long-lived gunslinger who does a lot of horrible things to people for profit and funsies, he's a Team Rocket member, and as far as anyone here is to be concerned, he's the prettiest princess in Johto, no questions asked.
...no, really, he's unbelievably full of himself, and he's unbelievably loud about it, so believe me, you'll hear about how damn great he thinks he is at least once or twice.
Cooooouple of things to address here before we continue on our merry way, but I'll cut it for the tl;dr -
Okay, first of all I would like to actually issue an apology to the anons that corrected my behavior on the mod HMD; I didn't quite realize that I hadn't done that in the thread itself, and it was recently brought to my attention via my friend sitting me down and talking to me about things that were being discussed on another comm. It wasn't my intention to be offensive; it was purely a reactive, kneejerk response, and I didn't mean to sound as though I was blowing off what the anons were saying or to act dismissive of it. I really do appreciate your patience in dealing with that, and how kindly-worded it was; I didn't reply at the time because I was concerned about snapping at everyone, and I didn't want to aggravate the situation further - I genuinely didn't connect dots and realize that meant I hadn't apologized to the comm in general until it was pointed out, due to there being so many issues going on. So! I would like to apologize for that now; I'm sorry for the offensive comparison that was made, and while it wasn't intended to be manipulative, it was made through a kneejerk response that shouldn't have been brought onto the comm in the first place. Again, I really do appreciate the patience that went into the explanations of why that was offensive, I just couldn't react like a sane person that evening and I didn't realize the ramifications of that until it was pointed out to me. As such, I'm also sorry for not realizing.
And in regards to being told to sit the hell down! June was kind of a horrible month for me overall, and the series of apps/drops that happened there kind of happened at an alarming rate. As a brief explanation, GLaDOS went due to seriously bad private issues with another player (that have since been resolved); Tokiomi was just not functional in-game and it was time to let him go (I misspoke elsewhere, and was not using the game for voice-testing - I was having difficulty getting him settled and my friends were assisting me with trying to accomplish that, it ended up not happening); and Wesker...uh. Yeah, I have no explanation for that other than "I have seriously poor impulse control when I'm stressed, and the end of June was horrible due to RL reasons killing my brain." The last one there I decided to drop before introducing him properly because I knew it would be bad to keep him on when I was not up for handling it; at the same time, I know that it's frustrating to deal with, and I want to apologize to anyone who's been put off building CR with me because of this sort of thing. Again, I have had a friend sit me down and tell me to...well, sit down; Reaver has been voice-tested to hell and back and he's far closer to my usual fare, so hopefully this will work for me a lot better.
Again, I do really appreciate the kindness and patience everyone has shown so far; I'm really glad that you're all so open, as this is my first game in a long time and I've always felt welcome here. Route is my forever game, okay. ♥
TL;DR - I have been a jerk, in some ways I've been taking IRL frustrations out on the game, and I'm sorry; consider this +1 Dal actually sitting down and thinking before she does things from now on. I understand that it'll take some time to rebuild things and I will take that consequence, but this is my last character add for quite some time; for the time being, then, either play the hover-click game or:
