So I herd u like eggs

It's been a long time coming, but after days spent organizing pairs, planning egg batches, and digging up old code, I am pleased to announce that there will be a new Breeding Center opening this Friday. You can find it over at breedingcenter! I plan on doing an IC post for the opening, so keep your eyes peeled. c: If you can't wait, you can request some eggs now, but know that the requests ICly won't happen until the actual opening.

This branch of the BC will be run by Sora, Riku, and Kairi, but other characters are welcome to chip in if they'd like! Note that this branch will be run exclusively in Celadon City in the building next to the Training Center, where the old Celadon BC was located. Eggs can be delivered, however, so location is not an issue!

Some quick information:

• This BC is not going to have a points/reward system. I simply cannot maintain that level of micromanaging while juggling my other hobbies and RL activities.

• It will, however, have a Foster Home, run out of the Training Center.

• You can donate eggs here or breeding stock at the Foster Home post. We could really use some species diversity, especially females so that we can get some cool eggmoves. Shinies are also appreciated, but not expected.

• Characters under a month old get a free egg of their choice, and all newbies get 50% off on all purchases. Eggs/movesets marked with an asterisk are ineligible for the freebie, but all eggs are available for the newbie discount. Yes, that means your new char can have one of those crazy Charmanders for only P4000!

• We do plan on adding more species, but it will be done gradually, since doing it en masse is a time consuming process.

Credit where credit is due; the coding came from the old Breeding Centre community, save for the community layout, which is just one of the built in DW options.

Got any questions? I'll do my best to answer. I'd also love suggestions on how to appropriately price future eggs, as that's something I always struggle with.

Like I said, all my girls can donate eggs as needed (and there's no way Xion won't help too) so I'll see about deciding who Botan and Maka would feasibly let hang around the foster home for stock.

Hey, thanks for the offer. c: There's no rush, but it's definitely appreciated, since I know the DI kids can't cover all the really popular species.

Meant to reply to this yesterday, but awesome! c: It'd definitely be appreciated. The starting selection is 54 species, but it's definitely lacking in certain types and certain niches... mostly because Riku tends to veer toward the big and intimidating beasties.

There are always some eggs left over when Chihiro breeds, so he'd be more than happy to donate the ones he doesn't sell! I'll also look through his list to see what he might be able to offer for breeding as well o/
