Hey, everybody, Alex here (the person behind Yagyuu | usedlaserbeam), currently fulfilling one of her RP dreams by bringing you the one and only Carmen Sandiego. For those who weren't intimately acquainted with her incredibly 90's TV show and assorted other forms of media, Carmen is a damn good thief with a penchant for history and geography...which means she won't just steal your shit; she'll make you learn something trying to get it back.

As a note on fourth-walling for a minute — I know Carmen is a fairly iconic character and I don't mind fourth-walling in the form of "Oh, man, that's Carmen Sandiego", because she's famous in her own world and quite frankly gets that a lot from perfect strangers, anyway. I'd prefer if people didn't fourth-wall her on the intimate details of her personal life, but just recognizing her as Carmen Sandiego and knowing her penchant for thievery is A-OK. (Just don't be surprised if she leads you on a grand chase immediately afterwards!) And please ask if you have any concerns or questions! I don't bite.

I'll hopefully be introing her a little later today, but in the meantime there's one more thing you have to do, you know what it is...

Oh my god rewatching all the episodes these past two weeks reignited my girlcrush something fierce. I AM SO WITH YOU ON THAT.

I feel so old now. But I used to never miss an episode of her show. I watched gargoyles around that time too ...

I love Ivy and Zack too. Now I wish someone will app them here ... it would be fun to see them chase each other all over the place again.

I keep vowing to find out if any characters in Route are voiced by Scott Menville or Jennifer Hale, and then having Carmen be SO CONFUSED if she hears them on the network because dammit, she knows that voice, it's Zack! And Ivy! ...Except not.

(And also because, y'know, Scott Menville and Jennifer Hale are in basically everything ever, so.)

Not gonna lie, I'd love to see them around, even if the chances of it happening are slim to basically none.

Who would catch him all those times he falls off all those buildings? It's not like Carmen's gonna do it, jeez. Yes she would, she just won't admit it. And then he'd be afraid of all of the reptiles and Carmen would hassle him mercilessly and...yeah, it'd be beautiful.

Well, Carmen plans to name a couple of her Pokemon after them, so they'll be here in spirit! And I'm sure she'll reminisce about them sooner or later. Oh, her detectives. ♥
