The Circus is officially in town!
Sorry for the wait, ladies and gentlemen and trainers of all sorts, but things have finally be hammered out!
On April 30th, the Eve's Garden Circus in Goldenrod City will officially have its grand opening! A log will go up with various subthreads for things like small shops, games and arcades, and basically anything you can come up with! There will also be a thread for the shows in the Big Top, although they'll be basically summarized as I test the waters! When everything is done, I'd love any sort of feedback on this and how to improve the log. I'll more than happily welcome ideas.
With that said, here's some handy dandy things to know about the circus!
The Eve's Garden Circus
1. It can be assumed that advertising by way of commercials, fliers, and good ol' word of mouth has been going on for the past month or so, not too soon after Prom. Characters can hear about it however they like, if Joker hasn't talked their ear off already!
2. A transportation service is teamed up with the circus- if your character doesn't have any other means to get to Goldenrod, they can call and have a flying type Pokemon pick them up. They can buy either a one-way ticket straight to Goldenrod, or get a two-way that takes them to Goldenrod and then back to the city they were in before. No deviation from this, sorry!
3. The Circus grounds (games, stalls, etc) are basically open every day. HOWEVER, the big top shows will only happen once a month, on a weekend in the middle of the month. This is so those performing in the circus aren't restricted to being in Goldenrod.
4. While the Grand Opening will have its own log, not all shows will (save for a few occasions). For both paying customers and working performers, you can handwave participation during other months!
Also, as I've shown before, Joker is always looking for talent in other character! If you'd like to know more about that and possible working in the circus, here's more handy things!
Working in the Circus
1. Joker is on the lookout for both performers in big acts, side performers, on-hand medical just in case, and tech support. (For the love of GOD, tech support.) He also welcomes Pokemon performers.
2. Work pay goes as followed:
* Everytime a performer (big or small) comes in to practice, so long as they check in with Joker and keep track of their times, they're paid P6400 per day.
* On Big Show Days, main acts (like Ralph the Strongman) are paid P15,000. Smaller acts (like Jimmy who's learning the ropes) get P8000.
* Whenever support staff reports in or is called in regarding technical issues, they're paid P8000.
* When a log DOES go up, every 100 comments means another P1000 to paychecks.
3. For the rest of the month that aren't those big weekends, workers are more than welcome to leave Goldenrod for whatever reason they like. (Want to go get a gym badge? Go for it. Want to vacation for a while in Ecruteak? Sure, Joker won't mind.) However, all workers are expected to return on show days. If they find themselves hitting a snag, and Joker can figure out a way to help them get back in time so long as they hit him up in his inbox or something. This can be handwaved or played out.
4. Really, a lot of things can be handwaved if it's in the normal schedule of things (like practice) but if you ever have a plot you'd like to play out involving the circus, just let me know and I'll be happy to work with you!

a new show about wrench throwingher wrench.I kind of handwaved that she's been in Goldenrod for a while by now anyway, so congrats, you have a cute mechanic there? With an Audino, who tries to make her own show, but uhh, I don't have ideas for her pokemon performances just yet. She's mostly just testing Winry's nerves by trying anything she can right now, but uh yes, Winry will be there. :x
