→ this is more for actual critique and discussion. Please don't just blindly praise a person or just call them horrible. If someone's doing a wonderful job, you can tell them, just tell them why, or even where they're showing off bonus perks. If someone's doing a not-so-wonderful job, tell them why, give them things to improve on if you can. Examples, links, things that can give them something to work on. Meaning, no bashing, flaming, or nasty behavior. Please keep it civil.

It's a little belated. Okay a lot belated. But have you considered putting in a form of catch-up for new people coming into the game by way of their pokemon? For example, a new Rocket member comes in with their level 15 and level 5, and heads out to do Evil Rocket Things.

And inevitably encounters players who have been here longer and their full teams of level 100s. There is nothing that the Rocket can do to have a prayer of winning, never mind stealing their pokemon. This can be severely discouraging to any Rocket, or anyone at all who wants to do evil things. Just being clever and finding ways to 'get around it' doesn't help, not when you're faced with those kinds of odds. Cleverness only goes so far in a world where you can't even use a knife to defend yourself.

It's possible people who aren't planning evil have the same problem; it takes months for one pokemon to reach 100. Before that you might as well be a non-entity! And if you hatch an egg, that will be nice and strong when it grows up, it's still going to take three or four months before you can use it against all the older players and their full rosters of 100s.

Also I am mostly here to say kudos to you for taking one of the DR characters that I really honestly tended to overlook...pretty much every time he appeared, and showing me what a great and interesting character he is in his own right. Threading with you has been positively lovely, and I think you're doing a great job balancing him out — going full weird when he deserves to be weird, but maintaining that very fine level of credibility and competency at times to offset it, so you're never quite sure whether you ought to be taking him seriously or not. I think you're doing an excellent job with him, and it's really a blast to have Hagakure in game. :|b

I think I would very much like to RP with you, but you don't seem to RP much with anyone outside your little group, or even interested in RP outside your group. It leaves you a little unapproachable.

In all honesty, I find it very hard to want to seek CR with you because you're a revolving door as far as apps and drops go. You have a tendency to impulse-app and then drop characters within three or four months, only to impulse-app someone else. You openly admit these are impulse apps, which is something, but at the same time you need to actually think through what that does to the CR you form.

This latter thing is more an issue made worse by plurk, I think, but I also have a hard time forming CR with you because you're always going on about how everything needs to go according to some sort of plan you seem to have, and when it doesn't go according to plan (often because of CR developments), that's when you drop, claiming that you "stalled out" on whatever arc you had all plotted out. That isn't conducive to RP in general, much less getting people to want to play with you. From what I've seen, you're either going to drop in three months because you don't have enough CR, or you're going to drop in three months because getting CR has derailed your plans. You can't have it both ways.

You don't need to app in someone from every new shiny thing that catches your attention; pick someone you think you can stick with and you're willing to be flexible with. You aren't a bad player, but you flake hard and you flake often and it makes it hard for me to want CR with you.

He has a personal HMD on his journal, now with anon actually enabled, since DW disabled it again. Also, to address some stuff that recently came up:

- I realize some people were put off by the request made with those Charmander eggs. I have since removed that request and I have no plans to make similar requests in the future. I apologize for that mishap-- I wasn't aware that it would put people off but I can see why it did.

- I'm still in the process of trying to address prior concerns as well. I've severely scaled back Riku's Pokémon and how much I use them and am trying to find other things for him to do. Still trying to figure out how to handle his Pokémon without it being off-putting as well. I know I went way, way overboard.

I'm curious if I've improved at all, though. And if not, what steps can I take to improve? I like suggestions, as they give me an idea of what direction to take.
