If someone's doing a not-so-wonderful job, tell them why, give them things to improve on if you can. Examples, links, things that can give them something to work on. Meaning, no bashing, flaming, or nasty behavior. Please keep it civil.

I was wondering how many of the eggs in Cheria's last egg post had a shiny parent or two, given that so many shinies were listen on it.

The Eevee's shiny parent was Chrys, the shiny leafeon. All the other potential shinies were from Eri, the shiny Wooper. Woops can breed with a lot of things, it's crazy hahahhah

The reason I asked was because the number of shinies on that post is extremely suspicious. It does not look legitimate given the probabilities involved. At the most generous, it appears like you had a 0.00022% chance of getting seven or more shinies given how many eggs had a shiny parent. Those aren't exactly good odds.

Is there some way to calculate it? I just figured one shiny at least per group would be fine. I'll keep in mind to not have so many next time.

If you want to actually calculate it, hit up www.random.org and generate a number between 1 and 50 for each egg. If you get a 1, it's shiny, if you get 2-50, it isn't.

You can't really just assume "one per group" unless your groups are size 50+, since that's how a 1 in 50 chance works.

Thanks for being cool about it! I'd bet you're not the only one who hasn't actually been randomly generating your shiny chances, and if you don't know about random.org it can seem tricky to calculate it yourself. Your post just happened to catch my eye because of how excessive it seemed.

I'm slightly concerned that you've reserved another character so soon after dropping Nier. I haven't seen your characters around very much lately and I wonder if juggling four characters is a wise idea at this time.

If you think you can then by all means do. I'm mostly exercising caution so you don't spread yourself too thin.

I wasn't really finding things for Nier to do is the main reason I didn't keep him, though I do understand the concern. I'll work on getting the others more active though, so thank you for mentioning it!

Not the same anon you replied to, but...personally I think this is going to be Lea all over again. You bite off more than you can chew, app too many characters who don't work out for whatever reason, and then flake out until you can't pass AC and have to drop them. This is really, in my perspective, history repeating itself. I'm not trying to be cruel here and I sincerely apologize if this comes off as mean in any way, but I think you need to take a step back and really think about why you're apping so many characters who just...don't last.

I mean, you're clearly very capable at RP; Vanitas has lasted so long under your control and he's got the CR to prove it. Maybe it really is just you biting off more than you can chew, or the setting, or something else entirely. I don't know. I just think you really need to think before apping someone else who'll probably end the same way as Nier and Lea.

Not cruel at all, you're making a good observation! I do want to know who else I've applied for and dropped the ball on to the point of struggling to make AC that this is coming up now though? I know I had a period of all that until I was down to just Vanitas for a while, then I applied for Cheria and she's stuck around; the same for Jane?

I will definitely take this into consideration though, because I do agree that I don't want it to end that way for Kairi, a character who has come and gone enough times that her canon buddies are still reeling and all. It isn't really fair for the players that their characters have to go through it often enough.

I do appreciate the constructive criticism, mostly because I haven't had any in a long time for whatever reason. Thank you for taking the time to let me know these concerns.
