sword of promised breaking intro spam

Hello Route. Kattu here with another one of those deers in the teal form. I'll try to keep everything as concise as possible! For those who are new to the game, welcome!! The Breeding Centre and Foster Home are player-run businesses that do as they state. The first allows all newcomers to help themselves to a new egg, so feel free to swing by or give a call if your character has been in the game for less than a month. There's posters all around and they do deliver ;D

The Breeding Centre's egg availability list has been updated! I detailed all of the new Pokemon and replenished stocks here! You might have noticed I've done away with the infrequent batches and the sort. That's because I intend to breed Pokemon based on what will be needed and each batch is completely randomized via random.org :D I plan to do breeding cycles depending on what's needed so that the poor Pokemon aren't getting their thang on every month. As always, [community profile] pokedaycare will be updated anytime there are changes made. This current update has been the past three months worth (and then some as far back as June/July) which is why there are a large number of eggs available. Crazy!

There have been some changes made to the FAQ a bit and I wanted to detail those here. I spoke with one of our mods to clarify some things and have updated accordingly as a result.
Newbie Deal: This will remain in effect. The restrictions were temporarily lifted while the new list was being made. As always, the newbie deal restricts Pokemon with an asterisk (*). What makes a Pokemon restricted? Any Pokemon with more than 5 egg moves will be restricted, but everything else will be free game. Why this change? Because:

Restocking Eggs: Since I am manually updating the lists every month, restocking will no longer be automatic. This means some Pokemon might not come back into stock anytime soon since the Breeding Centre relies on current CR of the workers and volunteers who donate eggs. Some breeders may also not want to breed the same combinations every month. You're free to request specific Pokemon either ICly through Saber's contact post here or OOCly through PM or Plurk ([plurk.com profile] aozaki). I try to personally shape up the combinations every time to make unique egg sets and everything. This month will have the past two months worth of eggs I've been planning which is why some clutches may be larger than the rest.

Infrequent Batches: As a result, this part of the FAQ has been removed. Specifically the part that explains what infrequent batches are and why they were restricted.

Helpers: The Breeding Centre has hired on a fair number of individuals who have offered to respond IC and OOCly to all inquiries! Right now we only have Saber for the Kanto region, but the Johto region would like to welcome [personal profile] Hayate. These threads can count for AC so don't be shy if you want to make an inquiry in-character. Alternatively, there's no pressure to switch between IC and OOC.

Foster Home: There have been a few inquiries about Pokemon in the Foster Home. Pokemon do gain levels while left in the care of the Foster Home, although much slowly. Saber is a firm believer of raising battle-ready Pokemon, so it's possible that returning players might find their team a bit reluctant to return to their original owners depending on how long it's been since the Pokemon have been left there and how many levels they have gained. As a fair limit, no more than ten levels per Pokemon will have been gained no matter how long a Pokemon has been left in their care. As a result, the FAQ has been modified to reflect this. Pokemon that do evolve in the care of the Foster Home will not be retconned so please specify in the future if your Pokemon has any resistances to evolution prior to placing them. The chances of this actually happening are very VERY slim (as in it hasn't happened yet), so it's more of a precaution than anything

LAST, BUT NOT LEAST I WANTED TO UPDATE EVERYONE ON THE BREEDER'S CON. Yes, that's pretty much something that's going to be happening. I apologize for taking some time with this, but I wanted to build up some interest both IC and OOC. This will essentially be a mingle for breeders and those interested in getting to know them on February 15th and February 16th. See, they did it the day after Valentine's Day because the decorations will be discounted. The plan so far is to host it in Goldenrod City, but if there's enough interest for the Kanto region, it can take place in both. A lot of the details are still being worked out, but I'd love to set it up to have some of the following:

⇨ Breeders selling their own eggs
⇨ Vendors selling their own wares
    ⇨ Games
⇨ Maaaaybe Valentine's Day themed stuff Saber is not in charge of that

So far it's pretty laid back, but since it's going to last a couple of days, I thought I'd poke around the community to see if there's anything else we can do to add to it. There will be an IC announcement about it coming up sometime this month from someone other than Saber. Because she doesn't handle doki doki well.

I know I mentioned this last time around, but I'm still up for the TC acting as a Kanto-based subsidiary of the Foster Home, though idk how difficult that'd be to arrange.

As for the Breeder's Con, Riku'd definitely prefer Kanto, but he can hike to Goldenrod if necessary. He's not actually a breeder, but he does specialize in breeding DEATH BABIES.

Pretend this is my relevant account.

But yeah, Riku'd be willing to help run the show in Kanto. He really wants more people going over there, anyway.
