Anti-Rocket Group Information

Right before the Lj-updates went up, Merlin made a post asking if people would be interested in starting up a group that keeps an eye on Team Rocket's activities and rushes over to help people in danger. Anyone who wants to be involved can be! We need trainers who are in both Johto and Kanto, since Team Rocket is spread between the two places now.

If your character has close CR with Merlin, Ventus, Lightning, Athrun, or the Persona 4 kids, assume they were approached in person about this. If not, they could've heard it through word of mouth and decided to ask.

Also, if your character's iffy about Team Rocket, but ended up being a part of it upon arrival, we have a job for them, too! If this group's going to work, they need some reliable sources of information from inside Rocket. So far, only Marona has volunteered for this.

I'll start putting up a list of people who want to join as people reply to this entry (or plurk, I guess...)!

Valentines Day Masquerade Information

It's February, and the arguably most important holiday in this month is, of course, Valentines Day! Minnie and Merlin and planning to host the ball in Goldenrod, and would have sent out invitations beforehand. If your character needs a ride, assume one of their bird pokemon picked your character up and brought them to Goldenrod in time!

ETA!!!: The original date of the ball was February 14, Valentines Day, but due to the weather, it's been changed to February 18 February 20 to give people time to wrap up their Valentines Day event things!




Foster Home Update

There's a new system for the Pokemon Foster Home and the rosters have all been updated. You can take a look at them right here! The adopting process can be handwaved or not, depending on what you, as the mun, would prefer! If you'd like to reach Merlin ICly to ask about the Foster Home, you can do so right here.

Important!! As another note, if you drop your character and you note that the rest of the unclaimed pokemon will go to the Foster Home, there is a very good chance I will miss it. Please take the time to comment to this entry with the pokemon's information, just to make sure I get the information!

Coop needs to be part of the Anti-TR group, so I'm especially sorry I totally flaked out about that last time, but am all kinds of ready to throw him into that now!
Assuming he'll approach Merlin about it ICly, since he knows that Merlin's all kind of anti-TR and would have concluded that if there is indeed a group he would probably have anything to do with it. Works? c:

Misaki has actually just started trying to start an Anti-Rocket group herself! She wasn't aware that there was another one out there orz She's already spoken to Yosuke about it, so maybe if you want, she and whoever else in her group could just merge with Merlin's group? Easier than having two separate forces, that's for sure!

Sure! That sounds like a pretty good plan, actually. I'm thinking we should put up a log for the group once everything's sort of settled, so maybe they could mingle and get to know each other then?

I also have apologies for being flaky off and on last year, but would like to get Heiji involved; IIRC he'd volunteered before and then I had OOC moving-issues and IC him getting injured putting him out of it. I do need to bounce off his travel group whether it'd be him flitting off occasionally or them coming with, but either way he'd want to be involved.

Anyway, Heiji's definitely welcome to join, since he volunteered for the raid. I'll add him onto the list now!

Conner Kent/Superboy (foreveraclone) is currently a mole in TR. However, he's been giving his notes and junk that he's gotten on the organization to Wally and now Robin. Now, I can't really speak for the rest of my cast on this, but I do know that trust is going to be a big issue for Conner if he decides to join in on this group? He's not going to willingly hand anything over until he knows that he can trust Merlin (or whomever he's passing the notes off to.)

Nothing against Merlin or anyone else in the group, but he isn't going to just willingly trust in someone he doesn't know all that well. He has a lot riding on the line here, and ever since Robin was found out he's definitely trying to keep more to himself. Mostly because he doesn't want to land up in the center for two weeks. And, as a side note: if I ever decide to canon update him, Conner's going to be in a completely different mindset all together.


On the other hand, Yuuji Sakamoto (strategizer) will probably end up joining? idk he'd need a good reason to get his lazy ass to join, but I know he'll be useful for future raids since he comes up with strategies and shit like that all the time. :'|b

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll take a bit for the potential spies to trust Merlin and the group, so that's fine! Like I said to Hughes-mun, Marona helped Merlin last time, and has agreed to work him already. Maybe we could figure out a sub-plot involving the potential moles? This way, more CR! And also, this would help us figure out how they even came to contact each other, and also get the trust building more quickly.


For Yuuji...does he know anyone from the volunteers?

If Merlin is off getting himself into trouble, you can always expect Saber to be there. I guess this makes her a member of the Anti-Rocket Group naturally. She may not be willing to work with others easily (even if she's the King of Knights, she prioritizes protecting others over an outright assault), but she'll do her best.

I'd be willing to have them talk about it again if you like, but I'm sure she joined the last time we had a discussion over it :)

As for the VDay Masquerade, I'm game for either day.

The YJ cast has been running a covert operation keeping an eye on TR for the past few months, so this could be a mutually beneficial partnership for the two teams to trade notes and all that, but I think they'd rather stay allies than officially become part of the group just because they'll want to continue operating as a team with their own agenda (and they've got a few trust issues). I assume their ultimate goal is the same (taking down TR), so working together only makes sense, it'll just be kind of a weak alliance until the trust issues are solved.

Also, Wally specifically will be concerned that having too many moles inside TR will draw attention to Conner, and he will have serious issues about amateurs people potentially blowing Conner's cover. He just doesn't want his other bro (or anyone else for that matter) to end up beaten and broken on the doorstep of a Pokemon Center, and because this happened so recently to Robin, the stakes for being a mole will probably be much higher since TR is now aware that there could possibly be more spies in their ranks.

Yeah, that would take a bit of work to figure out. Potentially there two ways (that I can think of now) we could go about this. First would be Connor planning something with the other potential moles, and then spreading the news to the rest of the YJ cast. The other being they...eventually run into each other at one of Rocket's things and figure it out from there?

Both Red Saber and Xion would have their reasons for wanting to join, or are at least interested, in joining the Anti-Rocket group. Specifically for Red Saber because she does not like their sort (and as an emperor, looks after the citizenry), and Merlin sort of asked. Xion has past experience with encountering the Rockets, so... Payback! Well, that is, if Lightning, Ven, or Fang even let her at this time. But she will try!

Ohhhhh, Red Saber would like the idea of this masquerade. It's like a play, but no. Maybe she'll have heard about it.

Ahaha oh geez all this stuff. WE NEED SOME KIND OF MASS PLOTTING POST for valentine's antics in general with all this.

Also if someone asked him Hayate would probably help with the Anti-TR group since he's already delved into that a little by saving some friends way back, but he'd be more on the 'not-actively-seek-them-out' side of things.

Aoto on the other hand would be all over it if someone invited him, but I he doesn't know anyone who could tell him about it yet.

We really do! As funny as doing the Masquerade with all the silliness already happening is...it's probably a good thing they're on separate days.

Okay, for Aoto...I think he knows both Sabers? That could be one way of him finding out about the group?

Lightning's still in on the Anti-TR groupings, though if our Hope applicant gets in, she and Ven are gonna be making like a couple of Ponyta's with Run Away to get back to New Bark Town. Yey for gears, no? :3

Oh yeah, forgot to ask. Lightning and Ven helped a lot for the raid planning, so I'm guessing he'll ask them (and a couple others) to help him put the group together. If anything, they can split the organisation into a few branches to make it easier?

Considering this guy is... Most likely never going to be Anti-Rocket (far too much like home) I can't say much here, but if you ever need help in getting unwilling Rocket members clued in on the Anti-rocket group I'll help in anyway I can.

Okay! Merlin's actually pretty good friends with Layton, so that's a good way for her to hear about the group. We'd have to ask Ichi about that first, though!

I would lean toward the 20th, just because there's a little stuff I want to squeeze in between the Valentine's events and the ball, but the 18th is okay as well!

And Chie would absolutely jump at the chance to join up with the anti-Rocket team, as rabidly pro-justice as she is. :D!

Seeing as you've already spoken to both Conner-mun and Wally-mun here, I don't have to mention the whole 'allies but working as a separate team' thing? xD Or the trust issues? Cause yeah. They'll definitely have some of those.

But since Robin just recently "got out" of Team Rocket, he'll have some info on it. At least for the people working on the outside. He's going to want to help, but until he builds up a certain level of professional trust with Merlin he'll probably just stick to the YJ team. But once he does trust this other team (and Merlin) enough he should be pretty open to sharing information. Especially when it comes to the info he managed to gather and probably some he gets from Conner.

But yeah...sorry about being late on this. xD

Gosh, I wish I'd checked this post sooner. Anyhow, in place of Merlin, I'm here to reply to your comment.

I think that sounds like a potentially fun development. If at any time you'd like to plot directly with myself or Silver (Lightning-mun) who are holding the fort in Merlin's stead, feel free to hit us up. Will definitely look forward to eventually working with Robin.
