I have a bunch of terrible characters who would have zero interest in this, but I think this is a cute idea! Handwaving the classes entirely might not be the best idea, but I can definitely see how it would be difficult to write up class logs/posts all the time. I'm afraid I don't really have any suggestions there, sorry!

Isaac is currently travelling all over Johto to get all the Gym Badges, but if this picks up, he might try to help out with the self-defense aspect! He's... not really a great teacher at all, but he'd make a good practice dummy!! OKAY I'LL STOP BEING MEAN, he's actually quite skilled there, so he can help somehow! orz

and Archer can totally teach classes about war....... THINGS WE DON'T NEED EVER
