I've been here for two years in October, but I was here for a year before that studying! As I said somewhere above I'm in Fukushima, I assume you're somewhere in Kanto since that's where most people tend to end up.

Xehanort's interesting because his actual motivations and reasons aren't apparent in the game itself, it's in the materials you pick up on the side that you learn more about what he's really after. That said, even knowing such things he's still delightfully wicked, and it just gets worse and worse as you consider what happens in each game. I won't spoil things if you're watching, but I'm definitely open to talking about stuff as you go if you'd like! I'm doing a replay myself so I'd enjoy talking to someone else about it.
