IT'S FALL THAT MEANS IT'S HALLOWEEN

So, if anyone hasn't already heard, this October there will be a Haunted House in Goldenrod run by Joker and Jimmy Two-Shoes, like there was last year! And the main duties that Envy here was assigned by our former Jack Skellington were to 1. Recruit new scare actors and 2. Design fantastic terrifying costumes for them! He also does the Halloween costumes for the circus!

I'm going to be making an IC post for recruiting here in a few days, but in the meantime I figured I'd make an OOC one too for organization's sake. Do you think your character has what it takes to scare the daylights out of people? Do you think your character's Pokemon would like to sign up to do so? COME IN HERE AND LET ME KNOW. If your character has ALREADY signed up through Joker or Jimmy or anyone else, ALSO COME IN HERE AND LET ME KNOW. Because...

BONUS: Joining up will net your character an amazing Halloween costume from the resident shapeshifter! If you already have a general idea of what you'd like your character to wear, let me know! But if you don't, I (and ICly, Envy) will come up with one for you. This also applies for anybody working for the circus!

Teddie is literally the least scariest thing in the world, but Jimmy's already talked him into working at the haunted house. (Not that it was really hard.) Mostly because he's working on getting a Woobat who would also really like to work the haunted house. Cause bats, halloween, goes together. Even if it's a bat covered in hearts. The costume idea I had was a woobat-themed vampire outfit for matchies. Which...again, will be covered in hearts.

So yeah, enjoy the worst vampire bear ever.

Haha, Envy will have his work cut out for him BUT HE WILL RISE TO THE CHALLENGE.

If Teddie insists on the vampire outfit itself being covered in hearts, what I'm thinking Envy could do with that is go all out on making his face makeup terrifying. Think painting a Woobat heart nose over most his face and then painting the inside black and full of horrible sharp teeth like a lamprey. Maybe some dripping void eyes, too.

Then all he'll have to do to be scary is stand facing a corner looking like the most harmless baby vampire and then SUDDENLY TURN AROUND.

Rise isn't that good at scaring people, but she is good at advertising! This resident idol would love to help.

If she can, she would love to match her little Pumpkaboo. She's good at makeup, so she could help with that, too.

Oh yeah, she'd be more than willing to lend her spoopy babies, which are a Shuppet, Pumpkaboo, Golbat, three Umbreon, and a Noctowl for that creepy hooting noise. She'd offer the Sableye... but he's kind of hard to deal with.

As for advertising, this would also be very helpful! If she's planning on doing any advertising through video, Envy might make her a simple costume for that. Probably something siren-themed, to go with her being an idol.

And yes he's gonna need some makeup help he can't do up all these people all by himself. She can come be his assistant!

Fantastic! She'll get neat shimmery fish scale makeup on her cheeks, neck, and shoulders and give her prosthetic fin-ears. For hair he'll give her a tousled up wig (your choice of color) full of fake seaweed and pearl beads that he's gotten soaking wet right before she goes on camera, so she looks like she just came out of the ocean. For clothes, she can have a sort of tank/halter top that looks like it's made of dark green seaweed. To make it spookier, he'll give her dark smudges around her eyes and creepy pale contacts, and if it wouldn't impede her talking too much he'll also give her some fake pointy teeth.

HELPFUL ASSISTANTS GET SOME EXTRA EFFORT PUT INTO THEIR COSTUMES. :|b

While Perry himself won't be joining since he wants to go through it to prove to Joker that he's fearless, he does have Pokemon who would want to join! Namely his Phantump, Galvantula, and Pangoro, because nothing's scarier than a shy ghost, an overexcited spider, and a giant panda who won't stop bragging about everything.

Because of that Perry might join rehearsals to make sure everything is going alright. (and so no one accidentally scares his Phantump to the point of crying)

Well he might eventually have to with his Pokemon being there, but he probably won't actively participate in the scaring part because it's not really his thing anyway. He'll probably bring refreshments at least?

(And now that I think about it whoever scares Perry will probably need that pay bonus anyway since Perry is totally the kind of guy who would punch someone who scares him in a haunted house.)

Yes good more spooky pokemon! Envy will be happy to help them learn some good scaring techniques, and Perry is also free to supervise.

Okay so I know I already have one egg in this basket, but since he's going to be in Goldenrod I'd love to get Kaneki in on this as well. He's amassed quite the array of spoopy Pokemon by now in Chandelure, Yamask, Duskull, and Gliscor that would be more than happy to help out with things. The Gliscor in particular, since he's very fond of tricks. So while Kaneki probably wouldn't be much of a scare actor, but his Gliscor absolutely would.

ALSO just for sake of info for this post, Jimmy's gonna be making a post too reminding people about the haunted house opening, and he'll likely be in or around the house for the duration of the month if he's needed for anything! Just in case you needed an excuse for your character to come, Jimmy will be more than happy to try to enable.

Yes, so many more pokemon!

If Kaneki wanted to still get in on it/be around his 'mons without being a main scare actor, he could always do something like hide in the dark and bang on a metal sheet or rattle chains when people walk by to startle them!

Since he'd be mainly hidden for that, he could get away with being in a light costume, maybe a poultergeist with some tattered clothes and some simple ghostlike face paint?

When Jack left, he bestowed upon Joker his signature bat bow-tie. So, in honor of the great Pumpkin King, Joker would like something based around that.

He is absolutely not adverse to doing skeleton again this year.

Also, Joker has two Zoroark, and he's more than happy to offer one to help with the Haunted House itself! I'll think about any of his other Pokemon.

SO YOU ALREADY PUT UP THE CIRCUS LOG WITH HIM AS A SKELETON but I had a thought that he could also have one of those big capes that attaches at the wrists that looks like big stylized bat wings. He could swoop it around and be real dramatic.

And if he's got a ringleader hat, it could definitely be done up with more pinstripes and bat decorations.

Lust is all over this. And she's happy to lend her Pokemon, her shiny houndour could probably be pretty spooky!

And I know we talked gorgon type costumes, but I am totally open to any other suggestions!

Her houndour can absolutely join in on the spooking! He could probably go help Banjou the Wolfman.

I REALLY LIKE THE GORGON IDEA STILL, HONESTLY. Her colorscheme can be green with silver and bronze accents (her scale makeup would be mostly green, with scattered scales of the accent colors). The scale makeup will be all down her arms on the tops of them, up her shoulders, neck, and cheeks, and then with the two sides meeting across her forehead. It'll cover her hands entirely. He'll exaggerate her eyes to look creepy and hypnotic. Since she's in both the house and doing trapeze, costumes will be modified for both!

FOR THE HAUNTED HOUSE: she'll get a green toga-style dress with a silver/bronze belt and clasp, and that's tattered and muddy/powdered with stone dust at the hem. She'll get electric blue snake-eye contacts, silver claws for her hands, and fanglike tooth caps for her canines. Her hair will be RIDICULOUSLY ELABORATE, with the majority of it in a braid because Lust you have too much hair. But as much as he could work with would be separated into a lot of thick strands with wire supports to make it look like it's come to life, and it'll be woven full of rubber snakes with glow in the dark eyes.

FOR THE TRAPEZE: A green trapeze-bodysuit going to her ankles and with a toga-style strap on the one shoulder, with large patches of scale patterns (also with accent scales) and a lot of bronze glitter. Her hair will be as snake-filled and wild as he can make it without it being dangerous for their act!

Tobias will not really want to be a spoopy himself, but he's got an Aerodactyl that's practically already a gargoyle, a handful of ghost Pokemon (most of them adorable), and a Noivern who could be convinced to be a big scary thing.

Pokemon are definitely appreciated! Aerodactyl and Noivern especially could probably be put to good use alongside Ralph in his gargoyle costume.

SPIDERMAN

SPIDERMAN HENRY'S COSTUME will probably be something like a black bodysuit with a ton of fluttering fabric strips all over it, mostly black but some painted with glow in the dark paint. He'll also have some kind of chickenwire-based extra arms thing strapped onto his back.

His face makeup will be an appropriately horrifying, fanged spider face with glow in the dark extra eyes. He'll make sure to have it so that it doesn't smudge all over Henry's camera.

RALPH ON THE OTHER HAND

Is going to be a gargoyle like we talked about! He'll get a really tattered beat up looking shirt and pants with , and then the rest of him's going to be painted grey and stone-like, and he'll get fake claws for his hands. He'll also have some chickenwire based wings and latex/rubber face additions to make him look more monstrous. And big honking demon horns.

After Ralph puts him in the dumpster, Envy will be sure to make the face extra complicated and uncomfortable.

Rin would love to be a part of the Halloween spirit this year. Dress him up however you like! He will scare on command! ...But he will stop if people start crying. That wouldn't be fun anymore!

Rin's costume will be a SCARY CLOWN. He'll get a dirty/shabby looking, blood spattered clown suit and one of those poofy rainbow wigs splashed with glow in the dark paint and with big chunks torn out of it. His face makeup will probably look something like this!

He will also get a pair of rubber horns to honk in people's ears.

Are you sure you want to give him rubber horns? He is going to be terrifying and annoying. The night will be alive with people's screams and horn honking.

So it totally slipped my mind to say something sooner because my memory sucks, but Banjou would love to be a part of the haunted house. Either as a greeter or maybe a performer if he can be talked into it.

It'll be so dumb.

He's also got a jerk of a Haunter who would be more than happy to spook people.

Envy will do his best to convince Banjou to work in the main house!

As for costume, Banjou seems like he'd make a good wolfman! He can have the ratty lumberjack clothes with a bunch of fake fur coming out of all the edges, and big fake claws. Envy'll get him a big wildman wig and fake pointed ears. For his face he'll get a combination of paint and glued-on tufts of fake fur, and probably some bright yellow costume contacts. He'll also have some fake latex wounds: one big one where the shoulder of his shirt is ripped and there's a huge wolfbite, and one that's three clawmarks down his face.

AND THIS PART IS UP TO YOU SINCE I COULDN'T DECIDE: He can EITHER have his actual mouth full of fake teeth like these OR Envy can paint him a larger-than-necessary snarling mouth over his actual one.

As for the fake teeth thing, let's go with having them painted on since ghoul and wearing fake teeth would weird him out.

The duskull Ronald inherited from William is totes willing to volunteer! Same with his emolga.

More ghost types are always appreciated! Emolga can get a little ghost outfit and swoop at people!

Maka's not a spoopy person herself, but she's got a Zoroark that's very skilled with transformation and loves playing tricks, so she'd volunteer her for that.

As for Botan, she'll happily volunteer all of her ghosty goos, especially the quad of Gengar. She'll also make spoopy snacks for castmates/people that reach the end.

YES GOOD MORE ZOROARKS. She can absolutely help all the other illusion foxes with atmosphere creation!

And even if she's just handing out snacks, Botan still gets a costume! Envy will do her up themed like the Blair Witch because that movie scared the daylights out of him. So she'll get a creepy, rough grey cowl and a HUGE ratty, stringy wig that hangs all down in front of her face.

And fake long gnarly fingernails just because.

Courtesy of Ilya, we have a Dusknoir with a propensity for popping out of nowhere and shrieking in people's faces, a Houndoom with a nasty bark, a Gligar who likes to attach itself to faces, and herself in a very elaborate banshee costume, complete with haunting tormented wailing. She'll even have her Metagross levitate her so she looks like she's floating.
